THE HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS REGULATIONS, 1999

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 45 of the Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides Control and Management Act, these Regulations are hereby made.

These Regulations may be cited as the Hazardous Chemicals Regulations 1999.

(1) An application for the Registration of a Hazardous chemical in accordance with Section 10 of the Act shall be made in duplicate in the form prescribed in Schedule 1.

(2) A person shall not be qualified to apply for the registration of a Hazardous Chemical unless – (a) he or she is resident in The Gambia and is registered to do business in The Gambia, or (b) where he or she is not resident in the Gambia, the application is made through a person who is resident and registered to do business in The Gambia.
